ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION FOR POSTS OF GRADE-B (DR) (GENERAL)
A Minimum of 60% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/PWD) or equivalent in Bachelor’s Degree as well as in 12th and 10th standard examinations or Post-Graduation/ Equivalent technical qualification with minimum 55% marks (pass marks for SC/ST/PwBD applicants) in aggregate of all semesters/years.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION FOR POSTS OF GRADE-B (DR) (ECONOMICS AND POLICY RESEARCH DEPARTMENT,DEPR) –
-
- A Master’s Degree in Economics/Econometrics/Mathematical Economics/Quantitative Economics/Integrated Economic Course/Finance, with a min. of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/years .
- PGDM/MBA Finance with a min. of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/years
- Master’s degree in Economics in any of the sub-categories – Agricultural/business/developmental/applied,etc.,with a min. of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/years .
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION FOR POSTS OF GRADE-B (DR) (STATISTICS AND INFORMATION MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT,DSIM)-
- A Master’s Degree in statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Mathematical Economics/Econometrics/Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Kharagpur/ Applied Statistics & Informaics from IIT-Bombay with a min. of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/years .
- Master’s degree in Mathematics with a min. of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/years and one-year Postgraduate diploma in statistics or related subjects from an institute of repute.
- Master’s degree in Statistics of ISI with a min. of 55% marks in aggregate of all semesters/years
- Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics (PGDBA) jointly offered by ISI Kolkata,IIT Kharagpur and IIM Calcutta with a min. of 55% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/years.
AGE CRITERIA-
- The present age criteria of “Between 21 to 30 years” will be retained.
- For M. Phil and Ph. D candidates the upper age limit will be 32 and 34 years, respectively.
- As per extant practice age relaxation will be available to experienced candidates viz. candidates having experience as an officer in Commercial Bank/ Financial Institution in Public Sector as also candidates with prior experience in Reserve Bank of India, to the extent of number of years of such experience subject to a maximum of three years. For such candidates, upper age limit should not exceed 33 years including experience. For experience, probationary period will not be reckoned.

SYLLABUS: RBI GRADE B EXAM PATTERN (DR)- DEPR
- Standard of papers on Economics would be that of Master’s Degree examination in Economics of any Central University in India.
- Syllabus for English: The paper on English shall be framed in a manner to assess the writing skills including expression and understanding of the topic
NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS
The maximum permissible number of attempts (which were applicable for candidates belonging to Unreserved/General Category) has been increased from 4 to 6.
